What is the history of the area vocational school in Oneida?
In the fall of 1967, the Area Vocational School in Oneida opened its doors to high school students. Since 1971 a full time registered Licensed Practical Nurse has been employed by the system. On July 1, 1975, the State Legislature once again acted, dismissing the Oneida Independent School District and creating the Oneida Special School District.

Oneida City Schools will be offering a free summer feeding program July 6- August 12, Monday – Thursday each week at Durhamville Elementary, Willard Prior Elementary, North Broad Elementary and Otto Shortell Middle School from 12pm – 12:45pm.
