Quality Matters course reviews are designed for mature courses that have been taught previously and are fully developed online. Your online course will be reviewed by a team of three certified QM Reviewers. The reviewers will base their review on the Quality Matters rubric standards.
How do I become a QM reviewer?
In order to gain certification, you must complete the Applying the QM Rubric (APPQMR) Workshop and the Peer Reviewer Course (PRC). To become a master reviewer (i.e. a team lead for the peer review), you must complete the Master Review Certification.
Do QM reviewers get paid?
Earn stipends Reviewers can earn $150 or more per course review and K-12 Reviewers often conduct 3-4 reviews per year. Of course, most reviewers find the experience of aiding course improvement is the true reward.
How long does a QM review take?
4-6 weeks
A typical Official Course Review takes 4-6 weeks. If the course does not initially meet QM Rubric Standards, you can submit an amended course within 14 weeks of the date the Final Report was submitted. The Team Chair will then review the amendments and confirm if the course meets QM review standards.

Are QM Rubrics included in my course or workshop materials?

How long does it take to complete the appqmr?
Quality Matters recommends a three-month waiting period but accepts a minimum of one week to ensure your record reflects successful completion of the APPQMR. Registration in the PRC is not possible until successful completion is recorded on a participant’s record for the APPQMR workshop.
