How do I remove myself from TaxACT self-employed?

In TaxAct® Online:

  1. Click Tools on the right side of the screen to expand the category, then click Forms Assistant.
  2. Expand the Federal view, then the Worksheets view.
  3. Scroll down and select Form 1040 Miscellaneous Income – Miscellaneous Income.
  4. Select the form and click Delete.
  5. Click OK to confirm.

How long have I been using TaxAct for my taxes?

Hi all, I’ve been using TaxAct to do my taxes for free since 2005. I’ve got a w-2 and 1098-E. It’s the same exact thing I’ve been doing for 13 years. When I finish filling everything out and I should be on the click here to e-file for free I get this message “Based on your information, you’ll need to upgrade to TaxAct Deluxe+ to file your return.

Why is TaxAct forcing me to upgrade to deluxe?

What really pisses me off is TaxAct won’t let me delete my account or any of my documents now. Just ran into the same issue.

Is there any way to get a refund from TaxAct?

I ran into this exact issue, and the ONLY ONLY ONLY solution was this fucking reddit thread. Their customer service sucks, they won’t even take calls. None of their information helps you figure out this fucking schedule, and they surprise me with a $100 charge on all their fucking products and services, out of a $400 fucking refund.

Which is faster H & are block or TaxAct?

TaxAct is a scam now. Went over to H&R Block, and was able to file my return completely free and much faster than TaxAct had ever been. I know this is old but I just ran into the exact same problem. Had been using TaxAct for 10+ years. Well, never again. H&R Block handled it all for free, and much faster than TaxAct ever did.
